Under the direct supervision of the Lead Officer, this position is responsible for technical and shift operations. It maintains direct responsibility for overseeing the daily inspection of security cameras, alarms, communication systems, and recording devices for the Museum. This position is responsible for acting in a supervisory role in the absence of the Supervisor and Lead Officer.
Shift: 3:30 pm- 12:00 am
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in an emergency situation if a Lead Officer is unavailable.
- Assist with the on-the-job training of new security officers
- Responsible for administrative duties as assigned by the Lead Officer
- Communicate with the shift Lead Officer on any areas of concern regarding staff, volunteers, or visitors when on duty
- Contacts Lead Officer for advisement on disciplinary issues
- Support staffing levels on other shifts if requested by management
- Write reports when called into Field Base
- Check security console equipment daily and review and correct problems as needed
- Review all system reports and alarms
- Print alarm reports as needed
- Report and assist with exceptions and questionable activity that occurs on the system.
- Conducted post-inspections and completed paperwork associated with assigned shift responsibilities
- Respond to requests for assistance and evaluate appropriate courses of action, including investigating and explaining policies and procedures.
- Complete incident reports
- Administer First Aid CPR/AED/Stop The Bleed in the event of any significant medical emergencies
- Follows all instructions and adheres to all policies and procedures presented in the Policy Manual
- Services supervisors as needed
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- Three or more years of security experience
- Have the ability to work under pressure and take charge in rapidly escalating situations
- Strong Computer Skills such as Gmail, Google Calendar, etc.
- Flexible with the schedule and may be required to assist with staffing assignments on other shifts
- Be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Respond quickly to alarms and/or emergencies
- Climb ladders
- Lift or move equipment such as packages, cables, or parcels.
- Must be able to lift or carry 20 or more pounds
Pay: $21.37/hour
